As part of their continued commitment to Health & Safety and quality control, Zircom continuously invest in their systems, certification and personnel to ensure compliance with all current Health & Safety legislation.
Zircom’s recent achievement is CHAS registration, the Contractor Health and Safety scheme, which demanded rigorous independent assessment of Zircom’s ability and proof of compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
Going forward, CHAS will continually assess the adequacy and compliance of Zircom’s Health & Safety policy statement as well as their approach and organisation to Health & Safety, against a single common standard acceptable to CHAS members and users.
Attaining CHAS registration is not easy; the submission was compiled by Andy Price (Quality Audit Manager) and Louise Chandler (Systems Control Coordinator) of Zircom, “The assessment undertaken by CHAS is extremely comprehensive. Accreditation is only achieved by companies who can clearly demonstrate robust processes, documented evidence of compliance and continuous attention to Health & Safety”, said Andy.
From the client’s perspective selecting contractors who have demonstrated these standards goes some way to ensuring, as far as reasonably practicable, compliance with all Health & Safety legislation. “Although not the prime driver, a valuable asset of CHAS registration has been the customer recognition the accreditation receives, especially when submitting tender applications” (Andy Price, Zircom).
